Photography Production Docs
Call sheets and shot lists that build themselves, from a photographer who's run a lot of sets.
A producer is an essential asset on every shoot. Not every client or smaller job has the budget for one, and when there isn't a producer, that work lands on you. I built these tools to save myself time on exactly those jobs. Think of them as a digital PA who handles the document creation when it falls to you, so you can stay focused on the creative.
Leading a set is real work, and most of it happens before anyone picks up a camera. These two skills turn whatever you have (a call transcript, a messy shot list from a client, email threads about the shoot, or just notes you've taken) into a clean, branded, send-ready shot list or call sheet in minutes.

What's inside
Shot List skill
Give it your shoot and it builds a numbered, organized shot list your whole team can follow. Talent columns fill themselves. Nothing gets lost between your head and the call time.
Call Sheet skill
It reads your shot list, emails, or any other documents you have and builds the call sheet around them: crew and contacts, the day's schedule, weather with sunrise and sunset, and the nearest emergency room, all on one page. It knows the difference between a small set and a full agency day, and formats accordingly with two preset styles for different sized productions.
Your branding, set once
The first time you run it, it asks a few questions about your studio (name, colors, logo) and remembers them. Every document after that comes out looking like yours.
A Start Here guide and sample documents
So you can see finished call sheets and shot lists before you build your first one.
Anything you haven't filled in yet comes through marked clearly, in yellow, so a blank never sneaks onto a sheet you send to a client.
This is for you if
- You run your own sets, or you're starting to, and the paperwork lands on you.
- You've rebuilt the same call sheet from scratch more times than you can count.
- You'd rather spend pre-production thinking about the creative than fighting a spreadsheet.
- You want your call sheets and shot lists to look like they came from your studio, not a template.
- You already work with Claude, or you're curious to put it to work on real production tasks.
Why I built this
I'm Dawn Heumann, a commercial photographer and director. I've spent nearly two decades running sets for brands like Amazon, Kellogg's, and Duckhorn, and these are the exact tools I use to get my own paperwork out the door before a shoot. I built them because I needed them, then cleaned them up to share.
What you need to run it
These are Claude skills, so you'll use them inside Claude. The Start Here guide walks you through adding them and it takes a couple of minutes. If you already work with Claude, you're ready. If you don't yet, the guide points you to where to begin.
Questions
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. If you can describe your shoot in plain words, you can use these. The skill does the formatting.
What exactly do I get?
Two Claude skills (a shot list creator and a call sheet creator), a Start Here guide, and sample documents, delivered as an instant download.
Do I need anything besides the download?
Just Claude. The Start Here guide walks you through adding the skills in a couple of minutes.
Can my whole team use it?
The license is for one person. If you're a studio or production company and want it across a team, see below.
What if it's not for me?
If it won't install or isn't a fit, email me within 14 days and I'll refund you.
For larger production companies
If you're a larger production company interested in deploying these skills across your team, reach out to me directly. I can customize them to the call sheets, shot lists, and schedules you build for your clients every day.
Built on my side of the set, after nearly two decades of shoots. These are the actual tools I use.
Spend your pre-production thinking about the pictures, not the paperwork. I built these so you can.
